Main Point:

Google has introduced instant help through live video feeds through the app “Helpouts” that is available on the Web and Android devices. This app will help users to get advice from experts nearly 24/7 – any time of the day.

Study Further:

Through this feature, hundreds of experts will be available to help the users through videos. Users can also become experts and give helpouts. There can be a fixed price for a Helpout or there is a charge on per-minute basis.

Users can choose the experts on the basis of “qualifications, their availability, their price, their ratings and reviews.” Google is also offering a money back guarantee, if the expectations of the experts don’t meet.

At the launch of the app, it will feature eight categories, including Home & Garden, Computers & Electronics, Health & Counseling, Nutrition & Fitness, Fashion & Beauty, Art & Music, Cooking, and Education.

“Our goal is simple: help people help each other. We want to use the convenience and efficiency of the web to enable everyone, no matter where they are or what time it is, to easily connect with someone who can help,” Udi Manber, VP Engineering, wrote in a blog post.

An API will also be offered, so that the developers can expand the scope of the service.

If you are thinking that it is very close to the videos present on Youtube. TNW reported, “Udi Manber, Google’s Vice President of Engineering, told us it’s more about receiving immediate help and being able to talk to someone.”

“We hope that the efficiency, convenience and global reach of Helpouts will make people’s lives easier in the long term,” Udi Manber wrote.
